Honeycomb Panel

Honeycomb panels are composite materials whose performance can be freely designed through diverse combinations of core materials, skin materials, and adhesives. Optimal specifications are required to meet the stringent requirements of each application, such as weight, strength, fire resistance, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance. Showa Aircraft Industries designs and manufactures panels optimized for customer needs by combining diverse materials with our proprietary honeycomb cores. These panels are widely adopted across various applications, including aircraft interiors, the space industry centered on satellites, and general industrial sectors.

AeroRigid™291A

This panel is used as structural and auxiliary components for aircraft interiors, accommodating diverse applications such as monuments, shelves, partitions, bulkheads, and galleys. It features a 2024-T3 clad aluminum surface, a 5052 aluminum honeycomb core (1/4-inch cells, 3.4 lb/ft³), and an epoxy resin adhesive.

AeroRigid™291B

This panel is used as a structural and auxiliary component for aircraft interiors and is suitable for a wide range of applications, including monuments, shelves, partitions, bulkheads, and galleys. It features a 2024-T3 clad aluminum surface layer, a 5052 aluminum honeycomb core (cell size 3/16 inch, density 5.7 lb/ft³), and an epoxy resin adhesive.

SFPS42003,SFPS42005

This panel is designed for use as aircraft floor panels. The surface layer consists of unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced with glass cloth, using an epoxy resin. The core employs SAH-1/8-5.5 honeycomb core, achieving both lightweight construction and high rigidity.

SFPS42002

This panel is designed for use as an aircraft floor panel. The surface layer consists of unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced with glass cloth, using an epoxy resin. The core material employs SAH-5/32-9.0 honeycomb core, providing both lightweight properties and high rigidity.

AeroRigid™2223

This panel is used for all aircraft cabin interiors, including galleys, lavatories, bulkheads, partitions, storage compartments, and crew rest areas. Plain weave glass cloth is used for the surface material, phenolic resin is used for the resin, and SAH-1/8-3.0 honeycomb core is used for the core material.

AeroRigid™4K3L

This panel is designed for use as a container-type cargo compartment floor panel in aircraft. It uses plain-woven glass cloth as the surface material, a phenolic resin, and an epoxy adhesive. The core material is high-density SAH honeycomb, providing high load-bearing capacity and durability.

AeroRigid™4G6G

This panel is used as a floor panel for bulk cargo compartments in aircraft. Plain-woven glass cloth is used for the surface material, and phenolic resin is used for the resin. High-density SAH honeycomb is used for the core material, providing excellent load-bearing capacity and durability.

AeroRigid™2623

This panel is used as interior structural and non-structural components in commercial aircraft, such as crew rest areas and galley surroundings. It achieves lightweight construction and high rigidity by employing plain-woven glass cloth as the surface material, an epoxy resin, and SAH-1/8-3.0 honeycomb core as the core material.

AeroRigid™4B4D

This panel is a structural material designed for aircraft cargo floors. It utilizes unidirectional glass fiber as the surface material and an epoxy resin. The core material employs 5052 aluminum honeycomb (1/8-inch cells, density 8.1), achieving both lightweight properties and high load-bearing performance.

AeroRigid™4C6C

This panel is a structural material used for aircraft cargo floors. It employs unidirectional glass fiber as the surface material and epoxy resin as the matrix. The core uses 5052 aluminum honeycomb (1/8-inch cells, density 8.1), providing lightweight construction with high load-bearing capacity.

AeroRigid™4155

This panel is designed for use as aircraft floor panels. It utilizes unidirectional glass fiber as the surface material and an epoxy resin system. The core employs SAH-1/8-13.0 honeycomb core, achieving a lightweight structure with high load-bearing capacity and rigidity.
